Stormers relishing Jaguares challenge

The team from Argentina boasts a formidable squad which features a large number of the Pumas' 2015 World Cup stars, and should prove a stern test for the Stormers.

The Cape side's first pre-season friendly will be against the South Western Districts Eagles in George this coming Saturday (January 30).

Stormers head coach Robbie Fleck said that the two pre-season fixtures should give the squad a good opportunity to execute what they have been working on in training.

"It has been a tough pre-season conditioning phase, so it will be good to see what sort of progress we have made when we face the Eagles and the Jaguares," said Fleck.

"After these two games we hope to have a clear idea of where we are, so that come the start of Super Rugby we have a squad who are match ready.

"It will be good to go back to George where we enjoyed great support from the public on our training camp, before facing a potent Jaguares side back home at Newlands.

"The Jaguares have the potential to surprise a lot of people this season, so it will be a great test for us to ensure we are ready to make a strong start to the competition."
