Super Rugby: Predictions, Round Eight

Super Rugby is now heading to eight rounds and to date, it’s been a fairly open contest. Even the Sunwolves, who won’t be part of the tournament next season, have sprung a few surprise wins on unsuspecting opposition – perhaps in some way, trying to prove a point – despite being rooted to the bottom of their conference standings.

Over in New Zealand, the Chiefs and Highlanders are battling out for the wooden spoon with just two wins each and just two points separating them.

The South African conference, which also includes the Jaguares, sees the Stormers (three wins from six and 14 points) and the Jaguares (two wins from six and ten points) slog it out for bottom place.

But,  we’re not here to tell you about the bizarre results. We’re here to try and help you predict them this weekend. As usual, we use statistical data from one of New Zealand’s leading statisticians and the Rugby Pass Index. Don’t get emotional about it, just use the data, if you’re struggling to make your Super Rugby Predictions, that is.
