VIDEO: Bulls coach blasts 'stupid' players

Bulls coach Pote Human after loss to Jaguares

SUPER RUGBY REACTION: Bulls coach Pote Human did not hide his disappointment with his players’ lack of discipline in their 20-22 loss to the Jaguares at the weekend.

The Bulls received two yellow cards and were forced to play with 13-men – allowing the Jaguares to score two tries, through Domingo Miotti – in the final 10 minutes.

The Argentinean visitors came back from 10-20 down to steal the win in Pretoria.

The first culprit was flank Tim Agaba, who was sent to the sin bin for charging into a ruck with his shoulder in the 71st minute.

He was joined on the sidelines by prop Conraad van Vuuren, who committed a cynical foul in the 77th minute.

“I’m really disappointed,” Human told a post-match media briefing.

“I really thought we had them.

“You can’t play a team like this with 14 guys and then 13 at the end,” Human added.

“It was just ridiculous.

“It was stupidity by some of the players.

“We have to rectify that. It was a huge disappointment.”

The Jaguares appeared to get away with forward passes in the lead-up to their two late tries, but aside from that, the Bulls only have themselves to blame.

“That’s rugby. I thought there were two forward passes, but they got away it,” Human claimed.

“Good luck to them.”

Human also bemoaned the wasteful nature of his team.

“They had one opportunity in the first half, they used it and scored,” he said.

“We had so many opportunities that we didn’t finish.

“There are a lot of positives, but it was white-line fever.

“I mean, we get there – two metres from the line – then we lost the ball. And [there were] some funny kicks, where you could just keep the ball.

“There were a lot of positives, but in this league, you have to use opportunities but we didn’t.”

The Bulls were missing the likes of Springboks Handre Pollard and Jesse Kriel due to the World Cup resting protocol.
