However, despite the lucrative offers the Sharks captain opted to remain in Durban and sealed a deal which will keep him in South Africa until 2022.
Am joined the Durban-based outfit in 2016 after a stint with the Southern Kings. He was named club captain for the 2020 Super Rugby.
The 26-year-old has made 53 Super Rugby appearances for the Sharks and have 15 Test caps for the Springboks.
He was also part of the Springboks’ 2019 World Cup-winning campaign in Japan.
