The Stormers paid a dear price for their 39-6 bonus-point victory over Griquas in Kimberley last Saturday.

The Stormers will definitely be without wing Edwill van der Merwe for their crucial Round Six encounter with the Cheetahs at Newlands this coming Saturday.

The young flyer injured his hamstring in the first minute of the game in Kimberley.

The exact length of his stay on the sidelines has not been confirmed.

They are also waiting for feedback on the scan to David Meihuizen’s chest injury.
