The 30-year-old Power has spent the last two years playing for French club, Oyonnax in the Top 14. Prior to that he earned 20 caps for the Brumbies from 2012 to 2014.

Mumm returned to the Waratahs in 2016, after making his comeback to Australian rugby during last year's World Cup where he captained the Wallabies against Uruguay. He previously spent eight years with the Waratahs before a stint overseas with the Exeter Chiefs from 2012.

Mumm has a wealth of leadership experience behind him as one of three Tahs this year to run out for his 100th game for the side.

Waratahs head coach Daryl Gibson said the signings were key to strengthening the Waratahs' pack for 2017.

"Both Leon and Dean are quality players with a wealth of knowledge," Gibson said.

"The line-out is a key growth area for us next season. We need to be able to win quality ball and these two players have the ability to analyse and lead that.
