Receiving the ball 45 metres out, he stepped and then out-gassed All Black fullback Beauden Barrett, before steamrolling Otere Black for a sensational start to the game.

Beauden Barrett, who was later out-duelled by younger brother Jordie Barrett in a kicking contest, got one back with a sublime show-and-go for the second try.
