INJURY UPDATE: The Chiefs’ horrendous Super Rugby Aotearoa campaign has been handed another blow with news of wing Solomon Alaimalo.

The dangerous wing Solomon Alaimalo has been ruled out for the rest of the Super Rugby Aotearoa season due to injury.

The 24-year-old dislocated his left shoulder during the 17-21 defeat to the Blues in Auckland last Sunday.

Alaimalo, who was one of the try-scorers during the controversial loss to the Blues, injured his shoulder after scoring and was forced to leave the field just short of the 50-minute mark.

The news is a major setback for Warren Gatland’s side, who is currently rooted at the bottom of the Super Rugby Aotearoa table.

Next up for the Chiefs is a trip to Wellington where they will face the in-form Hurricanes.
