Bayonne star out of intensive care

Bayonne back row forward Francois Carrillo has been moved out of intensive care as his condition improved, following a suspected heart problem in the warm-up before the Top 14 match with Mont-de-Marsan at the weekend.

A hospital statement on Monday reported: "His general condition is still constantly improving. New tests are being conducted to determine the precise reason for the problem."

The 24-year-old collapsed after taking the ball at a line out a few minutes before the end of the warm-up session.

A heart specialist team gave Carrillo cardiac massage before the player was taken to hospital.

"No anomalies were detected from all the tests carried out since Saturday evening," the hospital stated.

Doctors say Carrillo will not suffer any after effects from the incident.
