Fainga’anuku, 21, joins the southern French side from Super Rugby franchise Crusaders.

“Lotima Fainga’anuku has all the characteristics of a New Zealand wing: speed, power, and versatility,” said a statement on the club’s website.

“He will prove to be a significant addition to our back lines thanks to his finishing abilities,”

Perpignan, last crowned French champions in 2009, currently sit bottom of the pile after a miserable run of nine straight defeats.
