Parisse sticks with Stade Francais

Italian international captain Sergio Parisse has signed a new contract at Stade Français which will keep him at the French Top 14 side until 2016.

The 28-year-old Azzurri skipper, a veteran of 83 Tests and widely considered to be one of the top No.8s in world rugby, moved to Stade from Treviso in 2005.

He was part of the 2007 Top 14 title-winning squad and played in last season’s European Challenge Cup Final defeat to Harlequins.
