Toulouse lose another front rower

Toulouse’s front-row injury nightmare continued, after news that Georgian hooker Akvsenti Giorgadze has been ruled out for up to six months with a ruptured groin tendon.

Giorgadze, who was brought into Toulouse from Castres as a medical replacement for long-term absentee Gary Botha of South Africa, was injured in his club’s 51-10 victory over Lyon last week.

William Servat, named in Philippe Saint-André’s 30-man squad for this season’s Six Nations, is the sole out-and-out hooker Toulouse have fit in their squad.

For Saturday’s European Cup match against Connacht, Servat started with 18-year-old Christopher Tolofua called up as a stop-gap from the subs’ bench.
