NEWS: Montpellier have confirmed that Springbok scrumhalf Cobus Reinach has extended his stay at the Top 14 club.
The World Cup winner has agreed to a new deal that will see him remain at the French side till 2025.
The 32-year-old joined Montpellier in 2020 from Premiership club Northampton Saints.
Since joining the Top 14 leaders, Reinach quickly made the No.9 jersey his.
The Springbok has scored seven tries in 13 league matches this season.
Commenting on Reinach’s new deal, Montpellier head coach Philippe Saint-André said: “Cobus is a very important part of our squad.
“He fully supports our game plan.
“We are very happy that he will continue his career at the MHR for two more seasons.”
Reinach, who has been capped 12 times by Springboks, scored the fastest hat-trick in World Cup history when he scored a hat-trick in a 66–7 win over Canada at the 2019 World Cup.
