Match details:
Castres vs Toulon at Stade Pierre Antoine
In a match of many penalties, lots of kicking, slow ball at tackles. Toulon led 19-6 at half-time but then Castres took over and drop by lanky Pierre Bernard levelled the scores. With two minutes to go Jonny Wilkinson scored Toulon’s only points of the half and ten on time Bernard levelled the scores.
The only creative moment in the match came late in the second half when Matt Giteau’s replaced massive Mathieu Basteraude and produced a little break.
