Lions' update on Hendrikse

INJURY UPDATE: Lions have given an update on their flyhalf Jordan Hendrikse.

The 20-year-old Hendrikse fractured his right ankle in the Lions’ 13-36 loss to Scarlets in round two of the United Rugby Championship (URC).

On Friday Lions confirmed that Hendrikse underwent successful ankle surgery and is recovering.

The 20-year-old is expected to be on the sidelines for up to three months.

Meanwhile, flyhalf Eddie Fouche and lock Pieter Jansen van Vuren who sustained respective injuries during the four-week tour will be out of action for six to eight weeks.

The Lions are currently on a break and will resume training on Tuesday, November 2.
