Three fresh faces for Baby Boks
South Africa Under-20 coach Dawie Theron has been forced to call three new players into his squad for the IRB Junior World Championships due to injuries.
With Cheetahs sensation Johan Goosen, scrumhalf Kevin Luiters and outside back Dean Hammons all sidelined through injury Theron has had to make some late additions to his squad which starts next week in the Cape.
Paarl Gymnasium flyhalf Handrè Pollard comes in for Goosen who is still recovering from a shoulder injury picked up against the Highlanders a few weeks ago whilst Vian van der Watt replaces Luiters and wing Raymond Rhule takes Hammond's place.
All three players slotted in well during the Junior Springboks' final warm-up match against Hamiltons on Tuesday and Theron expressed confidence in their abilities.
"I am confident that all three players will do well. They are very talented and slotted in with ease since they joined us last week," Theron said.
