Feinburg-Mngomezulu's latest injury a cause for concern
Stormers Director of Rugby John Dobson has provided an update regarding Sasha Feinburg-Mngomezulu’s injury – suffered in the 29-10 United Rugby Championship victory over the Lions in Cape Town on Saturday.
The utility back limped off in the 27th minute, following a solid tackle by Lions prop Asenathi Ntlabakanye.
He continued to play on but ultimately went down in a heap and was replaced by Jean-Luc du Plessis.
Dobson said that the extent of the injury is unknown and his time on the sidelines could vary.
“He’s got a hip pointer,” Dobson said, adding: “I don’t know how serious it is.
“It would’ve been nice to get him to half-time.
“I don’t know [the extent of the injury], it could be two days or a couple of weeks.”
The Springbok star has just returned after undergoing knee surgery – an injury he suffered playing for the national team in a Rugby Championship encounter against New New Zealand.
It was the same knee injury he suffered last year and there will be concern about his latest setback.
