Bulls change flyhalf...again
TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Bulls Director of Rugby Jake White has made a couple of changes to the side that will take on Munster on Saturday in Limerick.
On the back of their first defeat in Scotland, the Bulls will be out to bounce back against a struggling Munster side.
The Bulls made several changes, with the most notable modification at flyhalf where Johan Goosen takes over from Chris Smith.
Goosen gets a start after missing last week’s outing because of the dangers posed by the 4G pitch at Scotstoun in Glasgow.
The 30-year-old forms part of the new halfback pair with Embrose Papier.
Smith and Izak Burger will be the cover from the bench.
Former Lions star Wandisile Simelane gets a start at wing. Simelane replaces Stedman Gans,, while Harold Vorster will don the No.12 jersey.
Vorster replaces David Kriel, who moves to the bench.
In the pack, props Simphiwe Matanzima and Mornay Smith get a chance to prove themselves as the new front row.
WJ Steenkamp comes in to form part of the loose trio combinations with Elrigh Louw and captain Marcell Coetzee.
Speaking on the matchday squad, White said the changes were routine.
“Nothing untoward [referring to the changes], we would have changed anyway,” White said.
“We will probably change for the game against the Sharks too before we go into the break.
“These changes help keep good morale and motivation for the entire squad.”
