Five Stormers stars in URC fans' top 10
SPOTLIGHT: It seems United Rugby Championship fans love to watch the Stormers play.
After two seasons of the competition, the URC ran a fan survey to determine the league’s favourite players.
On Thursday, the top 10 was revealed and five of those players are from the Stormers.
They are Manie Libbok, Evan Roos, Deon Fourie, Damian Willemse and Steven Kitshoff.
The other five players that completed the top 10 are Garry Ringrose (Leinster), John Cooney (Ulster), Josh van der Flier (Leinster), Darcy Graham (Edinburgh) and Peter O’Mahony (Munster).
In May, Libbok was revealed to be the Fans’ Player of the Season and he eventually ended the 2022/2023 season as the tournament’s top points-scorer.
Roos scooped up four awards last season after the Stormers won the inaugural URC title (2021/2022). Those awards included the Players’ Player of the Season and the URC Player of the Season.
