Glasgow's plan for 'unique' Stormers
IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Glasgow Warriors will have a unique plan for the in-form Stormers, revealed Glasgow assistant coach Pete Murchie.
The Scotland side head to South Africa to face the Capetonians on Friday followed by a clash against the Bulls a week later.
The Scots take the road buoyed by their 27-17 win over Newcastle Falcons in the European Challenge Cup, which saw them book a quarterfinal spot.
But, despite their convincing win at the weekend, Glasgow’s away form in the United Rugby Championship (URC) has been a concern, recording defeats to Scarlets and Cardiff on the road.
To make things more challenging, Glasgow face the Stormers and Bulls, who have been securing good results against European opposition.
“All the South African teams are picking up results so it will be a big test,” Murchie said.
“The Stormers and Bulls are good teams and it’s going to be a good challenge for us.”
He added: “We are heading into the business end of the season, and these type of away games is a good challenge and it is time for us put in the work.”

When asked about what he expects from the Stormers, Murchie said: “The Stormers play a fairly unique style and the stats show they score a lot of transition tries.
“They have a lot of threats in the backline and the back row guys are dangerous.
“Nonetheless, we want to implement our own game on Stormers and we are obviously aware of the threats and we will have a plan.”
Glasgow Warriors will arrive in South Africa on Tuesday and will be based in Stellenbosch for the fortnight.
