'He is okay': Stormers star involved in car crash
NEWS: Stormers’ build-up to the crucial United Rugby Championship quarterfinal clash against Bulls has been accompanied by unfortunate news.
Stormers wing Seabelo Senatla was involved in a car accident in Cape Town on Thursday.
Stormers head coach John Dobson revealed the speedster was not seriously injured.
Earlier this week, the Stormers camp revealed the former BlitzBoks star was up for selection for this Saturday’s match after recovering from a concussion he sustained during their win over Benetton a fortnight ago.
However, the star had been withdrawn.
“Seabelo was in a car accident,” Dobson said when asked about his absence in the starting XV for Saturday’s quarterfinal clash.
“He is okay but is in no shape to play rugby.
“It will be better if he can spend time with his family.”
Meanwhile, flank Deon Fourie and wing Leolin Zas will return to the starting line-up after both recovered from respective injuries.
Ruhan Nel, Angelo Davids, Herschel Jantjies, Joseph Dweba and Frans Malherbe also return to the starting line-up, having featured off the replacements bench in the final league match of the season against Benetton a fortnight ago.
The only new faces among the replacements are lock Gary Porter and utility back Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu.
