Munster's Bok injured... again
INJURY UPDATE: Springbok lock Rudolf ‘RG’ Snyman will miss Munster’s United Rugby Championship match against the Sharks due to an injury.
Just days after his incredible performance during Munster’s 26-24 win over Stormers in Cape Town last Saturday, Snyman has been ruled out of this upcoming URC fixture in Durban due to a concussion.
The Springbok left the field in the 65th minute after he sustained a head knock during the win against Stormers at the weekend.
Munster’s official statement confirmed that ‘he will follow the return to play protocols this week and is unavailable for Saturday’s game.’
However, the good news is the 28-year-old will be available for the URC play-offs in May.
Saturday’s appearance was Snyman’s first URC start of the season after a nightmare period with injuries – including two major knee surgeries – which saw him on the sidelines for 16 months.
In other injury news, Munster revealed that Diarmuid Barron (neck) has settled well and will return to full team training.
Prop Dave Kilcoyne will increase his training load and his availability will be determined later in the week.
