REPORT: Sharks centre heading to France
NEWS: The Sharks are reportedly set to lose the services of centre Jeremy Ward as another exit rumour makes an appearance.
Just a month after Ward was linked to a move to the Lions, a report has now suggested that the Sharks midfield is expected to join Stade Francais.
According to RMC Sport, Ward has already made the trip to France to join the Parisian club, ahead of the 2022-23 Top 14 season.
Ward’s transfer would be good news for the Top14 side, who are in dire need of a centre following All Blacks centre Ngani Laumape’s departure.
Laumape was recently released from his two-year contract after only one year in Paris.
Should the deal be successful, Ward will join former Junior Springboks James Hall and former Sharks lock JJ van der Mescht as the South Africans at Stade Francais.

Ward captained the Junior Springboks in 2016 and joined the Sharks from Eastern Province in 2017.
He has made 107 appearances for the Sharks in the Provincial Rugby Challenge Cup, Currie Cup, Super Rugby and United Rugby Championship.
He struggled with his recent form at the Sharks, making just six starts during the URC season.
