'RG is a big threat': Bok trial in Cape Town
IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Springbok and Stormers lock Marvin Orie is not underestimating the threat posed by fellow South African RG Snyman.
The Stormers will take on Munster on Saturday in Round 17 of the United Rugby Championship.
Munster have named a formidable squad for their first-ever visit to the Cape Town Stadium, which includes Snyman.
The lock made his return from a long-awaited injury lay-off last month and could be selected to start against the Stormers this weekend.
Speaking to reporters, Orie did not downplay his fellow Springbok’s presence and admitted it will be a tough second-row battle on the cards.

“Snyman has been out injured for a long period of time,” Orie said, adding: “Personally I think it is good for me to see him back especially what he had been through.
“He is a really good player. He along with some other guys that play for Ireland are very good.
“But of course, RG is a big threat.
“And I think it will be a big match.”
Orie added: “We put a lot of work into analysing Munster. The challenge is to see the opportunity and exploit them.
“We still have a little bit of work and there is still time, so by the weekend we will be ready.”

The Cape Town side head into the fixture desperate to bounce back following their Champions Cup quarterfinal defeat to Exeter Chiefs at the weekend.
Orie said the team has firmly put the travelling fatigue behind them.
However, bowing out of the Champion Cup has been a wake-up call.
“As a team, we set quite high standards for ourselves. We thought we can go to Exter Chiefs and do the job.
“Unfortunately it did not go our way. There was a bit of disappointment from everyone. We did not play to our standards.
“But we have another chance this weekend against a tough team, that has been doing well in Europe and the URC.
“We have to get back to our processes.”
The Stormers will name their team to face Munster on Friday.
