Scarlets have lost their last two fixtures against South African opponents but at home have lost just once to such an adversary: 21-26 to the Stormers in May 2022.

The Lions’ most recent victory in the United Rugby Championship was 50-35 at home to Zebre in Round 18 last season.

The Lions have not won away from home in the Championship since their trip to Benetton last March.
