Springbok star back in training
NEWS: Springbok World Cup winning lock RG Snyman returned to full team training with Munster this week after recovering from a chest/shoulder injury sustained in the World Cup final.
The Munster squad started preparations on Tuesday ahead of next week’s United Rugby Championship round 10 clash against Scarlets at Parc y Scarlets.
The team reported that there are no fresh injuries to report following Saturday’s win over Crusaders at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Tom Ahern has completed the return to play protocols and returns to full team training this week.
Cian Hurley (ankle/achilles) is increasing his training load.
There is unfortunate news for Patrick Campbell as he will undergo surgery on a shoulder injury and is unavailable for the coming four to five months.
On the international front, five Munster players were in action for Ireland against France on Friday night.
Ireland captain Peter O’Mahony, Tadhg Beirne, Jack Crowley and Calvin Nash all started with Conor Murray featuring off the bench. Nash made his first start for Ireland and Crowley made his first start in the Six Nations.
