Boekenhout unbeaten at Tuks

The first round matches in the Top Eight phase of Tuks’ Steinhoff Winter League played on Tuesday, July 28 saw Boekenhout emerging as the only unbeaten side.

Boekenhout did, however, battle to beat Mopanie 20-19.

Sonop lost its first match after seasoned ex-Tuks scrumhalf Piet Viviers scored a last-minute try for Onderstepoort (16-9). In the preliminary round, Onderstepoort also took care of defending champions Maroela.

The match between Maroela and Olienhout did not take place due to too many ill players. The match was declared a draw (0-0).

The fixture between Geelhout and Kiaat also did not place. Kiaat were unable to field a side, making Geelhout the winners by default (40-0).
