Dagbreek begin their march
Stellenbosch’s Steinhoff Dagbreek recorded their first win of the 2010 season – a comprehensive 61-10 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships victory over a hapless Steinhoff Madibaz side in PE on Monday.
The visitors, who went down to Vishuis at home last week, have moved into second place in the Southern Section on the Steinhoff Koshuisrugby log – just ahead of UCT’s Tornadoes who will battle the Maties side for second place and the final qualifying spot in this section.
Of course, both Dagbreek and the Nadoes are trailing the impressive Vishuis team – from Shimlas – who made it two from two on Monday with a 39-5 win over the Nadoes in Bloemfontein.
Dagbreek, however, will be happy with their day’s work in Port Elizabeth – their game a curtain-raiser to the NMMU-Pukke Varsity Cup match.
The Men from Stellenbosch scored a whopping nine tries, conceding just one five-pointer in the process.
