Important Koshuis fixture changes
The organisers of the 2010 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships have announced two fixture changes on Monday, March 8 – due to the adjustments to the kick-off times in the Varsity Cup on that day.
Two Varsity Cup matches on March 8 – UJ v NMMU and Maties v UCT – will kick-off two hours later and, as a result, the two Koshuis matches that were meant to take place in Johannesburg and Stellenbosch have been affected.
The game in Johannesburg, between home team Steinhoff Bastion and visitors Steinhoff Patriot, will kick-off at 5pm at the UJ Stadium (still on March 8), whilst the local Western Cape Koshuis Derby – between Steinhoff Dagbreek (Maties) and Steinhoff Tornadoes (UCT) – has been postponed by a week.
The Nadoes will, instead, host the fixture at their home ground – Groote Schuur’s notorious Green Mile – at 4.45pm on Monday, March 15 as a curtain-raiser to the UCT-Tuks Varsity Cup match.
Both fixtures at the Green Mile are set to be very exciting matches and could both have a huge bearing on the semifinals – in the Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships and the FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International.
