Nadoes in VC awareness drive

UCT’s Orientation Week kicked-off last week and with the 2010 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships – and the Varsity Cup – around the corner, the Nadoes saw this as a brilliant opportunity to raise awareness of these great tournaments.

A group of Nadoes members consisting of Justin Mitchell, Matthew Healy and friends dressed up in nothing but tights, shorts and Varsity Cup vests to catch the attention of students (mostly chicks – of course)… and catch their attention they did!

With pair of socks seemingly elaborating the ‘bulge’ – where it mattes?! – and a loud hailer in hand, the Nadoes went on an awareness drive through the UCT Residences to muster up some support for their 2010 campaign.

Former UCT club captain Xhanti Nesi – soon to be a new signing for the Nadoes, yes, you heard it here first! – was instrumental in making the campaign possible and by the looks of things, the Nadoes took full advantage of the opportunity.

Everybody at Marquard and Tugwell was caught in the frenzy, wearing the tight-fitting vests in support of the Tornadoes.

The next Residence to be hit by the Tornado is Kopano – so be warned, you might be caught in the Blue and White tide!
