Nieuwoudt to lead Dagbreek
Stellenbosch student Cornel Nieuwoudt will lead Dagbreek into battle as they kick-off their 2010 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships campaign against Steinhoff Vishuis (Shimlas).
Nieuwoudt, a hooker, will lead a strong Steinhoff Dagbreek team into action, with the power of Stephan Kotzé and AJ van Reenen surrounding him in the front row.
Dagbreek, of course, defeated Helshoogte in the final of the 2009 Stellenbosch Steinhoff Koshuis (Residence) League – despite the latter having finished top of the league table – and will be looking to do the Maties proud in the 2010 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Champs.
The pressure, of course, will be on Dagbreek to emulate the senior Stellenbosch team, the Maties, who have won back-to-back Varsity Cup titles – losing just three matches in two years of this great competition.
