Patriot choose for opening battle
André van Zyl will lead Steinhoff Patriot into battle in their 2010 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships opener against Steinhoff Maroela in Pretoria on Monday.
Hooker Van Zyl and his charges will make the quick trip from the Tshwane University of Technology to Tukkies no doubt looking for revenge after their Varsity Cup team, the TUT Vikings, went down 30-42 to Tuks this past Monday.
Marius Niemann will line up at flyhalf for Patriot and it is worth keeping an eye on his potent back three; fullback Gerhard Strydom and wings Carlos Augusta and Cebu Masuku.
