Tuks Koshuis League trio start well
Tuks teams, Maroela (Group X), Sonop and Boekenhout (both Group Y), had little trouble in shedding the vacation blues in Steinhoff Koshuis League action on Tuesday.
All three won their first games in the Steinhoff Winter Hostel League, with the Pretoria University having reopened on Monday, July 13.
Defending champions Maroela beat Mopanie 23-11, Sonop had the better of Kollege (28-7), whilst Boekenhout went on the rampage against Zeus; winning 65-8.
The star performers in the three unbeaten sides in the league were Rudolf Smit, Adriaan Bornman and Eugene Badenhorst (Maroela), Justin Manuel and Christiaan Marx (Boekenhout), Jaco Calitz, Dinos Kaparos and Werner Bosman (Sonop).
In the other matches played on July 14; Geelhout beat BHO (35-0), Onderstepoort took care of Taaibos (23-6) and Olienhout overpowered Kiaat (45-6).
