Vishuis march to the 'Bosch
Steinhoff Vishuis – hoping to pick up where fellow Free Staters Huis Armentum ended off in last year’s Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships – have named their side for Monday’s 2010 opener against Steinhoff Dagbreek.
Vishuis, the Kovsies Koshuis champions in 2009, have named a powerful starting line-up; with ‘go-to man’ Jos de Klerk leading the team from the No.7 position.
The Men from Bloemfontein, of course, will be looking to make it two from two for the Shimlas in the Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Champs’; having ousted Armentum as Kovsies’ Koshuis team in this fantastic competition.
Head coach Jan Earle – who believes he has a better squad now, than last year, when Vishuis won the Koshuis League – is looking forward to a successful 2010 campaign.
“I am very pleased how our warm-up games went,” the coach told varsitycup.co.za.
“All our set-phases are solid, it’s now just a case of getting familiar with the specific gameplan I have in mind,” explained Earle.
“If we can get that functioning to perfection, it will go well.”
