Vishuis the pride of Shimlas
Vishuis will represent Shimlas at the 2010 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships – no doubt hoping to emulate Huis Armentum’s dominance of this competition of last season.
Vishuis beat Heimat 15-11 in a tight Kovsies Koshuis Final last year to be crowned as Shimlas champions, whilst Armentum – who dominated the 2009 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships – ended up losing in the Plate Final to JBM.
It was an odd end to the season for Armentum who had earlier in the year romped to the Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships with a 30-16 win over Dromedaris in the final in Stellenbosch.
To top it all off, Armentum No.8 Johnny Schoeman was voted as the tournament’s Player that Rocks – but, sadly, they will now have to watch as Vishuis carry the Kovsies flag in 2010.
