Eleven-try Maties win comfortably

FNB Maties romped to a 69-3 win over NNK in WP Super League action in Parow on Saturday.

The visitors, looking to reclaim their local club title from Hamilton’s, led 17-3 at half-time and turned things on in the second half.

Having scored three first-half tries, there was no stopping the Men in Maroon – the undisputed Varsity Cup Kings – in the second period, as they notched up eight more tries to register a whopping victory.

The students’ star performers were backs Wilhelm Loock (three tries) and Dabeon Draghoender (two), whilst livewire hooker Matthew Dobson (pictured – ball in hand) capped off a busy afternoon with two tries.
