Maties smash Helderberg
FNB Maties continued on their winning ways by claiming a huge 69-5 victory over WP Super League strugglers, Helderberg, on Saturday.
Maties’ next Super League fixture is against ‘Durbell’ on Tuesday night, but the defending champions will have to make do without eight players and their coach Chean Roux – all of whom are involved with the SA Students team.
Meanwhile, Victorians – Maties’ second team – claimed an impressive 54-22 win over Villager’s, also on Saturday.
Vics face Stellenbosch’s Varsity Cup rivals, FNB UCT, in Super League action on Wednesday evening.
