Another big victory for UJ
FNB UJ, who narrowly missed out on the Varsity Cup semifinals earlier this year, recorded yet another big victory in the 2010 Pirates Grand Challenge – beating Alberton 47-17 on Friday night.
According to a report on suparugby.com, the real star of the night was Lions centre Justin St. Jerry – the official Man of the Match.
St. Jerry scored one of his team’s seven tries, with Shane Kirkwood, Hennie Kilian, Blake Mecuur, Aubrey MacDonald, Wigan Pekeur and Martyn Lombard all touching down.
Elton Jantjies kicked two conversions and regular No.10 André Smith knocked over four goals.
After their good start to the 2010 Pirates Grand Challenge, UJ will be looking to keep their momentum against Roodepoort next weekend.
