De Villiers slams SA's refereeing standards...again
SPOTLIGHT: Former Springbok coach Peter de Villiers is still not happy with the quality of refereeing in South Africa.
In March, De Villiers received a lot of criticism after he slammed decisions that went against his Eastern Province Elephants side during the Preparation series.
And now he has turned his attention to a Varsity Shield match.
De Villiers questioned the decision to send a player off during the match between UKZN and TUT.

He tweeted a video of the incident saying: “I took some flak for criticising SA Refereeing standards a few weeks back and then you see someone getting sent off for being run in to.
“It’s not good enough and standards need to be raised.”
