Friday-night glory for UJ

FNB UJ flexed their muscles against Witsies in Pirates Grand Challenge action on Friday night; beating them 60-10.

UJ scored ten tries on the night, with Earl Lewis (three) and Arno Coetzee (two) adding five conversions between them.

Forwards Andries Nel and Lehan Koekemoer scored a brace of tries on the night, whilst Lewis – as one would expect – also found himself amongst the eight UJ try-scorers.

UJ, who narrowly missed on the 2009 Varsity Cup semifinals, held a 21-3 half-time lead over Witsies before adding a whopping 39 points in the second half – at almost a point minute.
