Pukke put Randfontein to the sword
FNB Pukke continued their fine form in the 2009 Grand Challenge with a dominant 65-10 win over Randfontein on Thursday evening.
The 2009 Varsity Cup finalists scored 10 tries, with right-wing Willem Barnard scoring a superb hat-trick as the reigning National Club champs took yet another step closer to defending their title in September.
Fullback Worsie Kotzé chipped in with a brace of tries, whilst backs Trokkie de Kock, Johannes Seerane and Cecil Dumont and forwards Bones Robbertze and Savvas Nel completed the rout.
Head coach Rudy Joubert (pictured, right) would have been a happy man with Pukke’s massive win and also with the contribution of his back three who – between them – scored 40 of his team’s points.
