Round Two: Varsity Cup
Two matches in the FNB Varsity Cup competition will be played on
Saturday.
In Potchefstroom, NWK-Pukke, who were made to work for their 23-17
win over the Ikeys in Cape Town on Monday night, play Tshwane
University of Technology (TUT) who were beaten with surprising ease by
the University of Johannesburg (UJ) on Monday.
In Saturday’s other match the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University
are at home to the Maties, who will be keen to erase the memory of
their 31-all draw with Tukkies last week after leading 31-5 with just
minutes to go.
On Monday night, the Shimlas make their competition debut against UJ
in a match that was switched to UJ because of construction for World
Cup 2010 in Bloemfontein, and Ikeys have a second home match when they
play Tukkies.
