Smith to start in late Tuks change

FNB Tuks head coach Freddie Grobler has made a late change to his team’s starting XV for today’s Varsity Cup match against NMMU in Pretoria. The change sees Gert Smith start at outside centre instead of Ernie Kruger.

Kruger is out of the matchday 23 altogether, with Wesleigh Marais coming into the squad – on the bench in jersery No.20.

Shaun Davids (pictured) will once again captain the team from the flyhalf position and Franco Booysen, who scored a crucial try against TUT last week, will team up with Smith at centre.

The FNB Tuks team (revised): 15 Justin van Staden, 14 Dirk Dippenaar, 13 Gert Smith, 12 Franco Booysen, 11 Aaron Denenga, 10 Shaun Davids (captain), 9 Ignick Windvogel, 8 Coenie Pieterse, 7 Tendayi Chikukwa, 6 Louwrence Lombard, 5 Francois van Wyk, 4 Tiaan Nel, 3 Peet Vorster, 2 Robbie Coetzee, 1 Ettienne Breytenbach.
