Ten changes for Maties

A combination of provincial call-ups and tactical changes have resulted in 10 changes to the FNB Maties team for their Varsity Cup encounter with FNB TUT in Pretoria on Monday.

The Maties backline, for this Round Five FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International match shows a massive six changes.

Fullback Adnaan Osman moves to flyhalf in place of Coennie van Wyk, with Jonathan Francke wearing the No.15 jersey.

The wings are Wilhelm Loock and Lwellyn Winkler, replacing Morné Jooste and Hayden Groepes. In the centres, Morgan Newman and Paul Bosch make way for Jéan Stemmet and Graham Grant.

The pack shows four changes, with the most noteworthy the absence of regular Maties captain Wesley Wilkens. He is replaced by Jonathan Adendorf in the No.6 jersey, lock Jaco Nepgen taking over the captaincy armband.

Nepgen is partnered in the second row by Erich Laubscher, in for Marinus Pretorius, while Andrew Crauzar (tighthead prop) and Mathew Dobson (hooker) come into the front row in place of Lourens Adriaanse and JP Koster, respectively.

Koster, Pretorius and Bosch are all on the replacements bench this week.

Replacements: 16 JP Koster, 17 Jéan Rossouw, 18 Marinus Pretorius, 19 Cameron Peverett, 20 Koos Eksteen, 21 Paul Bosch, 22 Dabeon Draghoender.
