RWC: Georgia, Romania qualified
Georgia and Romania are now both qualified for the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Their final pools are yet to be decided.
Over the past weekend Georgia beat Russia 36-10 in Tiblissi and Romania beat Spain 32-6 in Cluj. Georgia and Romania are both on 14 points, nine points clear of Spain who are third, followed by Portugal and Russia with four each and finally Belgium with one point.
Each team has two matches left, which means that, with three points for a win and a bonus point, Georgia and Romania cannot be overtaken. Whichever of the two ends top at the end – They play each other on 15 March – will be in Pool C with New Zealand, Argentina and Tonga and the African qualifier. The team that comes second will be in a pool with France, Ireland, Italy and Canada.
In their last two matches Georgia play Spain and Romania; Romania play Belgium and Georgia.
The team that ends third in the European Nations Cup has a chance to get to the World Cup via répechage.
