VIDEO: Kolbe, Kolbe, Kolbe ...

South Africa staged only their second open (public) training session at the World Cup in France, when they had a workout at Stade Mayol in Toulon in the build-up to their Pool B encounter with Tonga.

The Springboks and Tonga will face-off in Marseille on Sunday.

The Boks proved very popular as close to 8,000 mostly juvenile spectators turned up and displayed their youthful enthusiasm very vocally.

Flying wing Cheslin Kolbe proved to be the most popular of the Boks, with shrieks of ‘Kolbe, Kolbe, Kolbe ringing’ out, along with loud bursts of enthusiasm every time he caught a ball.

Kolbe’s popularity stems from his two-year stint in the port city at Rugby Club Toulonnais.

Placards also showed support for the likes of Duane Vermeulen and Eben Etzebeth – both of whom have had stints at the club on the Mediterranean Sea.
