FNB Classic in Mossel Bay

This year it's Langenhoven Gimnasium's turn to tumble down the Robertson Pass from Oudtshoorn to Mossel Bay with its wonderful sea views for their Interschools, an FNB Classic Clash between two of the top schools in the South Western Districts.

If the last two years are anything to go by it will again be a close affair. In 2010, Langenhoven Gim came from behind to pip Punt at the post, 27-23. Last year it was Point's turn. They won 18-13.

The Season

Both schools play in South Western Districts, and area dominated by Hoërskool Outeniqua of George and Oakdale of Riversdale.

Both schools win just over half of their matches in a season. They are brave enough to take on really strong opponents, such as Outeniqua, Boland Landbou, Oakdale, Paarl Boys' High and Nico Malan. They tend to lose those though Langenhoven Gim drew with Nico Malan, arguably the Oudtshoorn side's best result of the year.

Results against Common Opponents.

Oakdale: Punt lost 41-5, Langenhoven Gim 57-7

PW Botha: Punt lost 14-11; Langenhoven Gim won 18-15

Oudtshoorn: Punt won 22-10; Langenhoven Gim 16-11
