Player ratings: More misery
Australia's hopes of a Grand Slam went up in smoke at Twickenham on Saturday as they slumped to a 20-13 defeat against England.
This comes after a tough Rugby Championship campaign in which Ewen McKenzie's team could only manage two wins, with defeat to England forcing them to hand over the Cook Cup.
The visitors scored the only try of the first half, but fell off the pace after half-time as England ground out a tough win.
The forward pack was put under pressure once again, despite enjoying dominance in the line-outs, as England squeezed them out of the game.

15 Israel Folau
Looked dangerous every time he got the ball. Some incisive running, great hands and posed his usual aerial threat.

14 Adam Ashley-Cooper
Did not get many opportunities to impose himself, but showed his worth with some committed cover defence.

13 Tevita Kuridrani
Showed that he can make an impact at Test level by running hard and straight, using his physicality. However, he did not manage to unleash those outside him often enough.

An erratic outing as he showed his value as a second playmaker with a good kicking game, and took his try well, but he was also put under some serious pressure and made a few crucial errors.

Looked for work and posed a threat under high ball in a determined game. Made a great break and asked questions of the English defence.

10 Quade Cooper
Produced a few magic moments, flicking the ball out of the back of his hand and putting some good kicks behind the defence, but he was exposed on defence at times.

A nightmare game for the Wallaby halfback general who continues to battle to find form. He was targeted by England who charged his kicks and caught him at the back of rucks.

Never got the chance to impose himself on the game, got involved in the tight stuff and amde some big tackles, but a frustrating outing for the new skipper.

Tackled hard and never gave up trying, but he was outnumbered and overpowered at the breakdown as he faced a physical onslaught from the England forwards.

Made ground with the ball and added some beef, but tended to drift out of the game as England pressed home their advantage up front.

Reacted well after handing the captaincy over, stealing line-outs and providing a reliable presence around the park, but lacked support.

Used his physicality to take the English pack on, but faded out of the game after half-time as the Wallabies were forced onto the back foot.

Made his presence felt around the park, but did not have a great time in the scrums which is something that has plagued the Wallabies all year.

A few wobbly throws and a knock-on, but his physicality is vital for the Wallabies and he also poses a threat at the breakdown.

Not a great game for the loosehead who was shoved around a bit and had to work hard on defence as England took the game to the visitors.
