WORLD RANKINGS: All Blacks knock Boks from top spot

SPOTLIGHT: New Zealand overtook the Springboks as the world’s top team following their comprehensive 33-16 victory over their old foes in the first Test of the Greatest Rivalry series at Ellis Park.

New Zealand gained 1.75 ranking points following their win over South Africa, who dropped down to second place in the rankings.

The table could change once more next week should the Boks level the series in Cape Town at the DHL Stadium, depending on the margin of the victory.

The official updated world rankings will be published by World Rugby on Monday, August 24.
