The news was confirmed by Montpellier coach Joan Caudullo on Thursday.

The 32-year-old had been due to stand trial at Jedburgh Sherriff Court in Scotland on Tuesday, facing charges of engaging in a course of conduct that caused his ex-wife ‘fear and alarm’ spanning between 2017 and 2024.

His arrest came after allegedly making contact with his former partner, and is standing accused of a further stalking offence, and two charges of breaching his bail conditions.

“He will not be there this weekend,” Montpellier head coach Joan Caudullo told reporters.

“He’ll be available again from Monday,” he added.

The veteran won the last of his 100 caps in March 2023 before shockingly announcing his retirement.

Hogh scored on his Montpellier debut last weekend.

Montpellier will face Perpignan in Bezierz on Saturday in the second round of the Top 14.
